Construction begins on flatiron condo Park Road

Jul 23, 2024 | Public | 0 comments

A flatiron condo in Yorkville called Park Road is moving closer to completion. Capital Developments started building the 28-storey tower less a one year after its launch.

“When we started this project, we knew we needed to introduce something unique that would complement this iconic neighbourhood and redefine urban living in Toronto at an attainable price point,” said Capital Developments’ President Carlo Timpano.

Clad in a palette of warm, golden bronze metal, the condo, designed by Diamond Schmitt, will overlook the Rosedale Valley ravine system and hover above the corner of Collier and Church Streets with a curved south façade. Capital Developments is introducing a small car-free parkette at the west end of Collier Street to create a landscaped connection to Harold Town Park.

Canadian interior design firm Cecconi Simone used the flatiron’s curvature as inspiration and are planning neutral tones and natural materials. Suites feature real stone finishes and premium appliances. Amenities include a grand lobby with a dedicated concierge, meditation room, fitness facility, outdoor terrace, and a variety of entertainment rooms. Two terraces on the 28th floor feature firepits, barbecues and seating areas with unobstructed views.

Park Road is Capital Developments’ second project in Yorkville. The developer’s 11YV project, a partnership with RioCan Living and Metropia, was its first. This 65-storey building will top off at the end of July 2024.
