SEE Services has been selected as a supplier on the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Framework for the Decarbonisation of Estates.
The UK-based provider of facilities management and infrastructure support, has been appointed to Lot 1 – Decarbonisation of Non-Domestic and Public Buildings. Through this appointment, SEE Services will provide decarbonisation solutions to NHS SBS approved organisations across the South West, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
The NHS SBS framework has been designed to allow NHS SBS organisations an opportunity to appoint single contractors to deliver multiple energy-saving initiatives. Under this framework, SEE Services will provide energy-efficiency measures including building fabric improvements, fenestration, ventilation, heating and cooling solutions, renewable technologies, LED lighting, electrical heating, building management systems, control interfaces, and hydrogen-ready combined heating and power solutions.
Anjub Ali of NHS Shared Business Services said: “With the announcement of over £1 billion for public sector decarbonisation in the Autumn Budget 2024, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has confirmed funding for the next wave of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, this new framework will support the delivery of the NHS’s ambition in “Delivering a Net Zero Health Service” and a response to the profound and growing threat to health posed by climate change.’’
